Southington High School Athletics Department would like to announce the appointment of Robin Thompson as the head coach for girls tennis. Coach Thompson is a graduate of Southington High School, a former student-athlete/captain and a past recipient of the Val Leach Award. She has the experience and ability to lead the girls tennis program. Alexandra Garry will serve as her assistant coach. Coach Garry is a former student-athlete and past captain of the girls tennis team and is currently a teacher in the Southington public school system.
Knight Time will focus on giving you the inside information on sports in Southington (Connecticut), with the focus being the Southington Blue Knights. However, it will occasionally touch on various other issues around the sporting arena. It's meant to inform and entertain with both lightheartedness and news aspects. Leave comments!

Robarge to play baseball at UHart

Southington High School's athletic department announced Wednesday that Sr. Justin Robarge will be signing a National Letter of Intent to attend Division I University of Hartford to play baseball on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 2:30 p.m. in the Athletic Office at Southington High School.
Robarge has been playing baseball all four years of his high school career. He contributed significantly to last year’s CIAC Class LL State Championship finalist. Baseball coach Charlie Lembo says, "The University of Hartford will be a great fit for Justin. With his skills and determination, I believe he will help the University of Hartford baseball program."
He was 1-1 last season in limited action on the mound, starting three games and throwing 17 1/3 innings, allowing 13 earned runs and striking out 14.
