VIDEO: Drury talks about 40-7 loss to Conard

Southington football suffered its first loss Friday afternoon, being defeated by Conard 40-7. In the game, the Blue Knights lost sophomore quarterback Stephen Barmore to injury as he hurt his right shoulder diving into the endzone for a touchdown. Early prognosis on Barmore wasn't great, but only tests will actually reveal what happened. Freshman Connor John stepped in and played admirably. Southington turned the ball over too much and the score is not indicative of a game that featured a few big plays from Conard, but a more or less even match-up. Blue Knights head coach Mike Drury talked about the loss, that dropped Southington to 3-1. Conard improved to 4-0.
